Biography

Gordana grew up and started her scientific research career in former Yugoslavia. She received a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from UW-Madison in mid 1990s, and later transitioned into Art and Information Design (Web design, UX and usability).

Gordana Vukovic before the exhibition Following a lifelong passion for art and design, Gordana started her art education in 2006, focusing on fibers and mixed-media. She received Level 2 Certificates in Textile Design (from the Gail Harker Center for Creative Arts, WA) and in Design and Craft – Visual Techniques (from The City and Guilds of London Institute, UK). She has also studied with Kerr Grabowski, Laura Cater-Woods, Elizabeth Busch, Jane Dunnewold, and Fran Skiles, among others.

Gordana’s art was shown at exhibitions in New York state, Washington, Michigan, and Australia. Lately she has been working on experimental fiber and mixed-media art.
